Valve malfunction

BigChappy Mar 22, 2004 08:35 AM

I put my misting system together last night, to kind of see if it would work or not and I ran into a problem. I'm using a Toro sprinkler valve. It was the only Toro valve that Home Depot sells. It has male threaded ends and all my fittings attatch well and everything but the valve doesn't close. It may partially close but there's still water dripping out of the drip nozzles, then when the cycle starts up the dripping will speed up. I have everything hooked up correctly, I just don't think the valve closes it may be a bad valve. I'm taking it back today and getting another one. Has anyone else had a similar experience with Toro valves or have they worked for anyone else?

I've had this happen with an Orbit valve. I don't know if it's a common problem or not, but the replacement one works great.
