Looking for high yellow golden greeks over 6" straight length...anyone know who has them?

LI Reptiles Mar 22, 2004 09:26 AM

Hi All,

I'm searching for true golden greeks that are at least 6" in length (straigth line). I have two 7" females and I'm looking for a male at least 6" and possible a few more females that are over 6". I haven't seen many of these as of late (mine are 3 years in captivity). If anyone knows of a dealer or keeper that might have what I'm looking for please let me know. The male I currently have is tiny 4 3/4" and tries his hardes but hasn't successfully bred. I get eggs but none fertile so I want to try a "taller" male.

Thanks for any assistance,
John

If you're talking about a male similar to this, it might be hard to find a male that big. This one was just placed with a breeding group, and the adopter thought for sure that he was a female just based on the size and the consistantly small adult males he's seen. He was a little startled to find a male when he looked at the undercarriage

This one was originally purchased from a pet store at just barely 4", and the owner said he had grown considerably in two years, so maybe the increased amount of food in a captive environment helped with the growth?

Or it just might be another subspecies.
