Before anyone bites my head off I know not to use cedar anything in my herp cages. My question is, is it ok to use cedar in my closet, I seem to have a moth problem (thanks to the 50lb bag of wheat bran) and my favorite dress has already been ruined. I wasn't sure if being in the same room would hurt my pets at all. Can I use cedar in my closet to kill the moths without hurting my herps?

Sure you can use cedar in your closet. Unless of course your closet is right next to one of your cages. Cedar is really only harmful to reptiles(as well as pretty much every other animal) when they are laying in it, constantly breathing in the cedar smell. Ceadr is great for getting rid of moths. THere are other options for getting rid of moths. Several herbs are very effective. Hope this helps, Josh

they make traps for the moths. They work great you can get them at most pet stores. they use phoromones(sp?) the attract the moths. I think they are flour moths.
