Thinking about green tree keppin

trimtrig Jun 12, 2003 01:52 AM

Hello,
I keep and breed arboreal vipers. I am thinking about green trees. I like the ones that are green with the blue stripe. I also like the crosses I have seen that are the yellow green and blue- I dont know much about locality- just wondering if someone could explain the coloring of the different locals? Alo- why the price is so open ended-275.00 to 200 for babies.
Thank you,
TQ

Typically, Sorong and Jayapura types have the blue stripe. Most of the snakes you see in the $300 range are imports. You will usually pay more for a U.S. captive bred and born green tree.

The price will definitely vary but you could find a solid animal in the $500 range.
