Oh and I forgot, where can I get supers (the smallest I can find) to give him a break from crix. If supers don't get small enough then I'll have to use silkies I suppose.

Why do you want to use supers over silkies? Silkies are more nutritious anyway...I'd say skip the supers unless you want them just as treats and get silkies. You can easily get them small enough for your cham.

Purple, your chameleon is purple too? Wow, I know the purple Veileds are out there, but I have not heard from anyone who had one before. Do you have a pic of your boy? My boy is over a year old now and is very purple. My boys name is Purple People Eater, or Pepe. When I got him he had only one functional eye. So, I named him after the one eyed, one horned, flying purple people eater. His casque(SP) is his horn, and he is still working on the flying part. He alwas looks like he wants to eat you when he opens his mouth at you. Well, just thought I would share my story with a fellow purple chameleon owner. California silkworms is a good place to get silkied(which I highly recommend) and herpfood.com is good for about everything else. THey do have silkies, but are more expensive. Hope this helps, Josh

Yeah this weekend I'll try to post some pics, I have to do a major cage clean then anyway so once he's done being mad at me and shows his normal colors I'll take some pics, I don't know how well it will show up though because it's very weak atm. When his colors brighten I'm sure to have loads of pics.

FWIW, my guys prefer supers to silkworms.

Try to find a supplier near where you live. I live in PA and use superworm farm. See
