NEWTS AND TADPOLES

caecilianman02 Mar 22, 2004 02:53 PM

Hi there:

I have a 20 gallon aquarium with a little caecilian in it and a pair of good size newts. It has pothos, gravel, rock hides and moss. I was wondering if I could temporarily add a bullfrog tadpole. As soon as it started metamorphosos, i would move it to a seperate enclosure. I know that the bullfrog tadpoles are vegetarians, so it would probably not hurt the newts. I know people who keep them with crabs. Its only temporary, in a semi-aquatic habitat. What do you think? Should i give it a try?

You probably shouldn't be keeping the caecillian or the newts together, much less the bullfrog tadpole. Seperate them all.
