Do Leo's like baths?

daizeycrazy Mar 22, 2004 03:44 PM

I was over at my sister's house yesterday, and we gave both of her bearded dragons a bath. It was more of like a swim and they loved it! I was thinking of doing this for my leo. Has anyone tried it?

my leo HATES being put in soaking water at all. Also you will need to be extra careful if you decide to do it to make sure the water level is low and all the water is chlorine/chloramine/ammonia free, also make sure you do it in a VERY clean small plastic box.

Yes - some people just give leopard geckos a 'bath' after shedding, just to make sure all skin comes off. Some geckos like it, some don't. One I took care of LOVED baths. And it would get all iguana-like when I sprayed it. (lift head up, close eyes, look like it's getting a massage or something.)

I would say go for it, just make sure water is warm but not hot, and low enough so the leo can walk around w/out submerging it's head. Goodluck!
