A rack question!

clownsox Mar 22, 2004 04:16 PM

Ok I have built a pretty good rack system for my leos using melamine rack sterilite housing and flexwatt for heat. I just came back from wal-mart to buy a couple of sterilite bins and saw that they have sterilite stackable drawers does anyone know if theese can be used as a rack system? Or has anyone ever tried?

I have used it but in a moment switched off. It doesn't hold hear as well, it is easy to escape from, and its a pain to drill holes in it. I would just get some tubs and do what you did. It looks and functions much better...

i had a 4 drawer sterelite rack which worked great, put heat up against the back of it, i duck taped 2 electric heating pads (for ur back)to the rear of it. however! when u open one drawer, the top one for example, it creates a space above the drawer underneath it and this is how my beautiful girl cassidy lost her tail, partly my fault i know...but i went to close the drawer and before i realized it i had chopped her tail off so sterelite racks work fine in my opinion, with heat and whatnot, but would not reccommend for this reason, otherwise be creative and come up w/ a way to prevent this escape hazard.

I think the ones I was looking at were way to deep for any leo to escape out of. I guess the only problem would be the heating! Any ideas?
