I an 16 and as a rule don’t trust ANYONE! yet for some reason I have always looked up to yall. So now maybe you understand a little why I was so angry I have been spanked and grounded because I would not kill snakes (moms really afead of them) I now live with my grandma and she is very nice and lets me keep several herps.

All my life I have had trouble spelling and onto of that I was on the edge of rage when I read that I was accused of killing a snake and taking pics!!

If I completely lost my head at 6:30 am I as sorry, BUT THIS WEEK / WEEKEND COUND NOT BENN MUCH WORSE. About the only good was finding the water snake........... ohh well

all and all it was not a good day for this.

I've had a lot of completly healthy animals take unhealthy photos (which your kind of was). I find most herps look not so good face on and profile photos are more effective.

Well, if you wanna get up and do some herping when your down this way, I'm in Jacksonville area and come across lots of watersnakes. I saw my first N. erythrogaster today while attempting to do some fishing. Fairly large snake, approximately 4' long, however can't comfirm as he escaped before I was able to get a hold of him. Did find a earth snake though...better than nothing.

No one accused you. I just said the snake looked unhealthy. No one said it was your fault. I find unhealthy snakes all the time. I just got a WC bullsnake with abcesses all down its body. I have found dehyrdated snakes on the verge of death. And I have found dead snakes that I have photographed. No one said you did it, just that the snake looked unhealthy in the original pic due to the triangular/akward body shape that a Nerodia typically shouldn't have.
