I bought my mali today.Its very skittish and is about 7 inches.I am keeping it in a 29 gallon until I/it is ready for a 40 breeder.O also I got one of those 50 watt sylvania halogens.....From 12 inches the thing got to 90 degrees.So I had to go buy a zoo med bulb instead.

Try to upgrade to the 40 gallon as soon as you can - your new little buddy will thank you for it!
