Breeder female regurgitated...Suggestions?

Amanda E Mar 22, 2004 08:29 PM

One of my females just shed so I introduced her to a male to see if they would breed. Unfortunately she got too stressed out (obviously she wasn't ready yet) and she regurgitated her last meal.

I know not to feed her for at least 10 days, but should I even try another attempt to breed her before then? I'm guessing I should just wait until her next meal is fully digested, but I figured I'd ask for other opinions.

I'd love to breed her, but her health is much more important than getting eggs.

If she isnt ready, she isnt ready.Give her some time off and let her hold down a couple meals.Contrary to what alot of people think you can breed corns anytime. My last breeding of my amels happened in the late fall.I could get my ball pythons to breed anytime i messed with there light cycles.I had 1 female guyana boa literally throw the males off her this year.Trust me when your corn is ready to breed she will....Paul.
