sloppy slough

I have had my northern etb for over a year and never had any problems with him shedding except for this last time. Took me hours of bathing and rubbing to get it all off. All my perameters were the same - humidity @ 80% and 85 farenhieght. What gives? Is this normal?

To the best of my knowledge, shedding problems can also result from lack of hydration(drinking). Just because the is a bowl of water in there dosent mean he can find it? Put several bowls in there, I have one etb who is Very VERy dumb adn needs 4 water bowls.
