Was the correct advise given? ( long)

Today I was wondering around the local pet shops and found a new reptiles hole in the wall and just had to look. While in there two women came in that both had bearded dragons. The one in question was about a 1 1/2 years old dragon who had just been moved into a 55 gallon tank from being allowed to wander around the house since his 10 gallon tank was too small for him, his size was compared him to a dragon that must have been about 12 inches or so. They were worried b/c once in this new tank with calisand, he hide in a log and hasn't eaten in two weeks and would not come out of the log, even after being tempted with treats. After checking the temps, which were good, the store owner and I found that the lady had the uvb light and basking lights on seperate ends of the tank...told her they should be together on one side. As for the eating, the store owner suggested impactation due to the sand, mealworms for food and lack of the dragon going poo. And suggested to soak him in a bath to see if he would relieve himself and to try this for a couple of days if it didn't work the first time. I told the basic bathing techniques found in the article in the reptile rooms b/c the owner wanted to have them put the dragon in a tub and just leave him in there with the lid on to force a soaking. I told both owners to check out this forum and search the web for tons more info, just for the health of the dragons, get the dragon off sand or at the very least onto play sand, change diet to crix or silk worms and make sure the temps were high enough. If the soaks did not work, then take the dragon to a vet b/c those were signs of further health issues that needed to be addressed by a vet.

Was there anything else that could have been said, or that was wrong? Thanks for taking the time to read another long post from me.

You did a great job.
Hope the beardie improves.
The only other thing is (Plan B), if baths don't work, a couple drops of mineral oil given to the beardie may move things along.

It's great that you are learning everything you can. You not only help your beardie in doing so, but have the knowledge to help keep others healthy too.
