When you go to a website about reptiles, cages, or just reptile supplies why do I see misdirected content flooding a reptile business website? I mean really "If you are going to purchase a car, or a home appliance you search a website for that item". What if you go to Home Depot's website and look for a new kitchen and instead they have pictures of a fishtank that shows their favorite fish, or a vacation they went on. You would look for a new place to get your kitchen.

Some people when I asked for Vision cage help directed me to Big Apple Herp, and some to RlReptiles. I compared the 2 sites as a consumer would and saw something really interesting. Big apple had a nice layout and easy to navigate. There content is all about finding supplies for your reptiles. RlReptiles had pictures of a demo derby, a tatoo, a puppy, and has not been updated since Dec 2002. I would be crazy to purchase a cage from someone that seems to have fallen off the face of the earth.

Is this a reptile site or a site with nothing new going on that non-reptile material has to be posted.
If I wanted to buy a new snake I would go to Pete Kahl's, Rich Ihle, Bob Clark. They stick to what they sell. I don't see any non-snake related content on there site, and many other professional site I didn't list. I am sure that I am not the only one in the world like this, so if you have any non-related content that pertains to your business / hobby it will steer people away like it did for me.

Photo hosting does not count as a site. Plus these people do seperate their non-related photos from reptiles.

Thanx
