NEED SOME HELP!!!

HRBerry6 Mar 23, 2004 09:24 AM

We have a ball python here in our classroom at school, his belly has turned pink and we are kind of worried about it. We thought it might be some kind of bacteria or infection? His bedding hasn't been changed in a little while. He is also about to shed he is in the opaque stage. He also has some type of red rock inside his cage, sort of like deep rust color? Any suggestions will help.

Snakes bellies turn pink when they are in shed cycle....nothing to worry about. Unless that red rock has a cord attached to it and the pink belly starts to blister....................

I wouldn't be worried!

Make sure it is NOT a heat rock. The snake can get burnt bad!!

Also make sure there keeping the snakes cage clean.

Is the snakes eyes cloudy?
