Albino Market Value

slytherin Mar 23, 2004 12:46 PM

Hey,
A friend of mine has recently acquired a female albino boa at about 7 feet in length. My question is this, what would be an honest price to offer if I felt like buying it. I'm not on the up & up in boa market value. I know that neonates sell between 1000 & up, but I have no clue about her size. So if some of you more experienced boa people could pass along price ranges that you feel are reasonable market value. He has no knowledge of this stuff & I could not be happy if i felt that I ripped him off. Lack of knowledge doesn't give reason to scam someone especially a friend.
thanks for your time.

Well as with most snakes values, they often rise the closer the snake is to breeding size. So it is obvious that this female is ready to breed. I would estimate a fair price would be 3,500-4,000 for a breeding size female. This price may go down this season but thats what I saw adult albinos for last season. Hope this helps and good luck.

i did see a few breeder albino females at around $3500 - $4200 - but these were 7 foot animals... I've never seen a 9 foot female offered..
