Woma skin, diet and aggressive problem.

EricDolan Mar 23, 2004 01:02 PM

I have a male woma about 3.5-4ft. and he has patches of light dry looking areas on his skin. He also has been off feed for quite a while. He has also turned very aggressive when disturbed and I know that is quite unusual for a woma. He is very active still and looks to be okay as far as weight even though he has been off feed since Sept. I would appreciate any help on this matter. Thanks, Eric

That almost sounds like some sort of infection, and it sounds like it's bothering him a lot. If it were my snake I'd take him into the vet, they can probably figure out what it is. A possible home remedy would be to put antifungal and antibacterial creams on it (neosporin, tinactin cream) and see if that clears it up. But it might be too advanced for that stuff.

Thanks, I'll probably have to take him in to the vet soon. The problem is we don't have a "herp vet" near by. I am at least two hrs. from any herp wise vet. We have one that is more than happy to work on snakes, even hots but I always feel like a guinea pig when I go in with a snake. Eric
