boidsntegus Mar 23, 2004 01:35 PM

Does anybody have/know where to find axanthic kings? Preferably cali, but I just can't find any anywhere.

My bad. I'm just now getting into all the fascinating morphs out there. I don't know if the generic axanthic (like for ball pythons) is the same with kings or not, but I want one of the silver snakes. I didn't know axanthic meant just lacking yellow. Are there any of the true silvers out there?

I'm sure you're thinking of an axanthic brooks king. These are the only known, available axanthic kings around. Lloyd Lemke was working with a true strain of axanthic Cal. king several years ago, but since he passed away, I have not seen any available. Is this what you are thinking of?

Nice! Is that yours? Photos never do them justice, is he silver in person? Any good sources to get one from? Thanks for your responses by the way.

Brandon,

That is a GORGEOUS snake, did you produce him/her? If so, any shots of the parents? OR Did you breed this snake? How about any shots of offspring?

Thanks,
Ralph

Brandon, does anyone have any pics of those Cal Kings that Lloyd Lemke was working with? I've got a price list from Lloyd from 1997 and he didn't have them listed then. I also have a pair of pyros from Lloyd Lemke before he passed away. They are way bigger than my wild-caught pyros! And they are on the same feed schedule.

Anyways, does anyone have any pics of Lloyd Lemke's axanthic cal kings?

Thanks

Kerby...

Kerby,

I'll see if I can't find the pic of the axanthic banana and the normal sibling. It was pictured in an old issue of Vivarium. I don't have a scanner, but I'll see about getting that pic for you.

Brandon
