One of my RES has 2 white looking spots on his shell?
What could this be? Should I be really worried? HELP?

My RES Crumpet has had two small white/grey patches on the top of his shell since I got him in September. They're not raised or cottony and they haven't spread. I've tried treating him with iodine, since I at first thought that it might be shell rot, but the patches got neither better nor worse after 2 weeks of dry-dock and iodine baths. Sometimes, white spots can just be white spots; I think that they can be old injuries or just individual markings. I would wait for more responses, though, before you do anything, since some spots on a turtle's shell (especially if they've just appeared) can be shell rot or some sort of bacterial infection. Are the spots raised in any way? Does your turtle seem to spend a lot of time in the water, but not a lot of time basking? Has he been injured in any way? More info would help us help you figure out what's going on. Peace, and good luck!

No they are not raised one is located on the backside and one is in the middle.He is not in the water anymore then he used to be and he is not out of the water any more then he used to be. Nor has he been injured in any way. Any one with a though let me know I will do anything to save the little guy.
