Why Won't He Eat?

OneTwoManyHerps Mar 23, 2004 02:06 PM

I bought a tangerine albino male from JMG Repile about a week ago and he hasn't touched the mealworms or the two crix i put in there. He has a nice fat tail and just noticed 3 days ago he was going to shed. Does this affect their eating pattern? I have 11 other leo's that'll eat when shedding but he just doesn't seem interested! What should I do?

Heres a pic of the big guy

I'd say that he is still just settleing in. Just make sure he has food available and sooner or later when he is comfortable he will eat. Some geckos take longer than others to adjust. He is very nice looking by the way. A couple of other thoughts. Count the mealies. I do this with alot of my geckos. I put ten in their dish, When I replace them with fresh ones I count them as I take the old ones out. Also double check the temps. I'm not in any way saying that they are not correct but it doesn't hurt to recheck them.
