I had too wake up my little guy today to do a little work to its cage,(still hibernating) and he was walking around very curiouse to what I was doing. Tried to feed him a few king worms, then a thawed pinkey and he was more interested in trying to bite me. Then I mashed up a chunk of banana which he took a few bites of. Certainly not a piggy like I'm always reading about, maybe 'cause he still in sleep mode? I ended up throwing the rest of the banana away and was wondering if small cans of babyfood would be more efficient until he does start to pig out. Ya think it's tegu safe? Maybe even better? Thanks for any feedback, you guys are very helpful, you know who you are!

ate also his first day out. It took him about 3-4 weeks to develop that legendary appetite though. I don't know about the baby food. I hear they don't start to like fruit until they're older. Mine will eat bananas and grapes so far, but I can tell he likes his ground turkey and mice better! I would maybe go get some ground turkey, roll it up into balls, freeze it, then thaw it out when needed. Cheap (for now) and easy.
