Is a Savannah Monitors eyesight based on movement?
I've seen my baby Sav. chase and catch tons of crickets, but if one freezes my sav. seems to ignore it. Normal?

Based on my observations, I would say normal. I see this sort of thing frequently. Sometimes you just wanna reach in and assist, cause you just so tired of saying "dude, what are you doing, its right in front of you?!"-I find myself uttering this all the time at my ball pythons. Ive gotten to where I simply hold the mouse muzzle to muzzle with my snakes, and they gingerly remove it from my hand.
I did have a Blackthroat last year that had a neurological disease, and he had MAJOR problems locating his prey. He could only see the white mice, and poorly at that. He usually ended up biting himself. After 6 mo. of babying him, with the hopes of any improvement, he went downhill and i had him put down.
