Hey,
I have the empty tank sendrone and am looking for something new. I already have leos so thats out. I want something that stays pretty small (where I could keep a pair in a 20gal L comfortably). Got any ideas? Thanks,
Chris D.

I personally like frog-eyes (Teratoscincus), but I don't know the particulars because I don't have any yet. Just wanted to give you the idea, though.
Teratoscincus Roborowski is one that would
do well in a small cage. It is much smaller than the other
Scincus species. They like to dig and make
burrows, so DEEP (at least 2 inches) sand and a bunch of flat rocks
piled on top of each other buried in the sand, plus a half
flower pot.
You can easily put a pair in a 10 gallon.

I would look at the small banded geckos. They can be housed two adults to a 10 gallon, you could keep a nice breeding group in a 20 gallon. In behavior, they are similar to leopard geckos, but they retain bands throughout their life. Their skin is more transluscent. They are quite adoreable.
Late at night, when all is quiet, I have heard the occasional soft "cheep".
