Horned Frog Subtrate....

repaddict Mar 23, 2004 08:25 PM

I bought some coconut fiber subtrate for my horned frog that comes in a brick size and expands when added with water. I just wanted to know if this is ok for my frog? He's currently on sand/potting soil mixture. Thank you for any info.

that substrate works realy good, thats what i have my frog on, it holds moiesture great and its easy for the frog to digest and dig in, just make shure u squeeze some of the watter out of it when u soak it because u dont wan ahave it to wet, i found it works better if its just moiest enough to stay dark brown and fluffy, hope this helps i tryed,

It's great; I have used it for years with my frogs. You can't beat it!
