This is eerily similar to what happened a few weeks ago to Jeff Houston with his Ball Pythons. Someone broke in while he wasn't home and stole all his high end BPs. I forget what they were worth together - something like $30,000 I believe. Makes you wonder if there isn't some connection. I had just gotten a nice pair of pictus from Scott about a month or so ago. Like you said, everyone needs to keep their eyes peeled at shows, etc, for suspiciously high-end stuff (especially if it's being sold at lower than normal prices). I know that Scott won't get the kind of publicity that Jeff Houston got because geckos and lizards aren't BPs and they aren't, in general, worth the amount per animal that BPs are. It would be great if someone could coordinate a reward for the animals, like the BP community did - they got together $50,000 in no time. Ah... God this is such a shame...
