Below I posted that I was not aware of shipments of johnstoni from Uganda into the US. Apparently, I just haven't been looking past my nose in California! I have received a couple private notices from people (including the post below from Justyn) saying that many have come in through Florida.

We need more Johnstonii.Good thing you posted this on a newbe list serv. They will get the best care here.
Understandable why importation ceasation leaves a bad taste in the mouths of those actively involved and ompletely supportive in the import process.
Wonder if the health and breeding success of these Florida shipments could be monitored. That would be a great project.Analyze the weakness and seek solutions. Unlikey of coarse.Education in aftercare and back yard hand dug graves is still the only excepted viable soluion.
Any other imports we newbes may be interested in using as chameleon colony replacements? Craig.

A shipment was coming into LA as well, but that was earlier this year. About Feb-March?
