.
none in particular...i've just noticed an abscence of info out there on them. many keepers assume that the same husbandry techniques for bci and bcc apply to bco...but they're found much further south. i've been keeping them for some time and have seen differences in the way they react to temp/humidity...obviously temperment...but i have yet to find a page that is dedicated to them...or there captive care and propagation.
what is your experience with them?...do you know of any good sites out there?
thanks, chris o
I feel that they like the humidty, just like BCC, but do better with slighter cooler temps. I have kept a handful on and off for some time. I am currently taking care of a nice 9ft plus animal known as 747, just watching her for a friend. Adults are some of the most laid back animals that I have ever seen. I think that they are a little more forgiving husbandry wise than even BCI. Just some random thoughts, but argies are truly awesome animals.
.
when she was available the last time in so cal...i was down there training temp. help for albertsons during the strike. she was only available for local pick up...but i didn't know how long i was going to be there...and clearly i coudn't leave her in my hotel.
but i do believe my male is her offspring...he was purchased...actually traded from fred albury at aztec reptiles.
tell your friend if she is ever for sale again....
chris o
She is an awesome animal, nice black, white, and grey argie. It cracks me up because most would consider her a monster, but some of my suris dwarf her lol.
Any pics of the one you think is her offspring? I would love to see how they are turning out. I was there playing with them right after birth.

you can tell he's high contrast...he would have been from a litter about 2 years ago...he's between 5-6ft right know.
Looks quite a bit like Mom. If I remember right, that is the same time she had her litter. Gotta love BCO
hopefully thursday
take care, chris olson
Remember this day Fred? We watched 747 moving full speed across your lawn in a sidewinder type of movement, kinda wild!
I never wanted a BCO as much as when i saw Freds collection of BCO's. Ohh those Maxx Pinks, i've never had a snake come so close to biting my face.

Well ZPD, I do indeed remember that day. The sun was shining and we had "747" out on my front lawn as well as your AWESOME Olive Python(Man I miss that snake)"747" was just a little scrawny thing back then, barely 6 foot. A worm....
Chris to answer your question the snake that you have IS the offspring of my female Argentine "747".Couldnt see much detail or contrast in the pics, but I remember Shaun getting one of mine. Good to hear that it went to a good home.I was lucky, a good majority of the babies she produced were sold to people that really treasured them and took good care of them. Twelve of these people have contacted me over the last year to thank me. I should be thanking them, I am glad my snakes found good homes.
The BCO I was priviliged to work with were "747"'s bloodline, which originally came from the late and wonderfull and definetly missed Peter Watson, a man that is SORELY missed by many, myself included.I miss our late night snake talks. Peter was a great guy. The males she was paired up with came from Barry in San Juan Capistrano and Todd Greensburg of Concord Calif. Both of these males exhibited a good degree of high contrast.
I also kept a pair of Maxx Pink Argentines, bred and produced by Bob Guiriere. These were sold at the San Diego Show to a gentleman who has them now.
And no Chris, "747" isnt for sale, Kemper is just holding her for a while for me. Besides, inbreeding is a no no.
And so is hybridizing so dont even THINK of crossing her with that Longicauda Kemper! LOL(Total joke, Kemper hates mutts more than I do even)
Chris, if you have any BCO questions, I will gladly take the time to answer them. contact me at: aztecfred@msn.com
Thanks and take care all,
Fred Albury "Aztec Fred"
Please see post below, I didnt add a title to it, so people might not now it was the same person.
thanks,

I should never have sold you that argie Chris!!!
He looks awesome.
I got him from Shaun DeBord, who apparently got him from Aztec Fred, and then I sold him to Chris O.
I have a nice male too.
Old pic....
