Sugar's Mean!

ScarletFever Mar 24, 2004 01:41 AM

Hey everyone,
Just a question about my ungrateful little corn, Sugar. She was such a nice girl when I first rescued her from a dilapidated existence. Now that she is fat and warm, she has decided to act spoiled and strike at me every time I open her cage. I know it is not a feeding response because she hisses and rattles her tail. I have to use a plastic hanger to get her out and then she calms down once I start holding her. How do I make it so that she does not bite when I try to take her out of her cage? I try my best not to startle her. Regardless of her bad attitude though, I love my lil girl to death.

How old is she?
If she is just a hatchling she will probably calm down as she grows. If she is an adult, you will need to handle her and get her used to you. Even then some adult corns never seem to calm down.
