mice balding..?

vegetableskull Feb 09, 2003 11:59 PM

i have a mouse with some other mice and it has a red spot on his head. Its mostly hairless and is about the color of his tail.. It just appeared in a matter of a few days. It doesnt look like a wound, and there is no blood in the cage. He seems to be the smallest one.
It doesnt look like a wound from fighting... and i dont see any mites.. what does this sound like?
thanks in advance

Sorry...I realize that you posted this question a while ago, but what was happening to your mouse is called "grooming". It's just excessive picking, scratching, and cleaning. Don't worry, some mice are just genetically predisposed to do this.
