Male or Female

Mxrider129 Mar 24, 2004 11:12 AM

I'm planning on getting an Israeli Sand Gecko this weekend but I don't know if I want a male or female. I'm not breeding them so that dosen't matter but I have another lizard in there and I want to know if the male or female is less aggresive.(lizards are different breed).

Hi there:

What is the other species of lizard. It entirely depends on what you're planning to keep it with. In general, the males are more agressive toward one another. good luck. That's a great species to keep!

It's a Yucca Night Lizard or Desert Night Lizard whatever you want to call it I don't know if it's male or female though.

Hi there:

I guess that there is nothing wrong with that; I am in to all types of community vivaria myself. But before you introduce the gecko, here are some tips I have to help you.

1. Rearrange the night lizards vivarium to confuse it in to thinking it is in a new territory.
2. You may with to add a few extra hides and perches
3. Before introducing the gecko, unplug the light
4. And of course , always remember to quarentine
I hope this helps.
