Handleing Question???

rich-k Mar 24, 2004 11:46 AM

Should I be handleing my burm when he is about to shed? For the last 2 days he has been very hissy and agrivated when I tried to take him out. He has never been this hissy in all his 9 months. If not the shed cycle, then what could have him in such a bad mood uncharacteristicly?

Most snakes get a little moodier when their eyes are cloudy. There senses are not as crisp as when they are normal. Their vision is obscurred and this causes thiem to react to stimuli differently. I would not mess with him.her while it is in the blue. Wait until the shed is complete and you should notice its behavior back to normal. Todd

Yea thanks for the reply but I kind of answered my own question. I posted that question while at work and 2 hours later when I returned home he had just shed.

Thanks, Rich
