Hi, I've been a lurker here for almost a year--ever since we knew we would be getting a dragon. My user name is a little misleading as I am really Drako's grandmother. He owns my oldest daughter who is 13. Drako is now 8 months old and almost 15 inches long. We will have a weight by tomorrow. He is a "Super Orange X Citrus Sandfire" that we purchased through the classifieds on King Snake. He is currently housed in a 20 gallon, but will be in a larger home in the next week or so. His lighting and temps(80-basking 110) are up to par. We use shelf liner. He mainly eats dusted crickets and an occasional meal worm or canned cricket- his favorite. He is not impressed by salads yet, but still gets offered a varried one (mustard or collard as well as other veggies or fruits) with pellets (Repcal). He does love green beans...

He was doing great until about 2 weeks ago when his appetite began to slow down. His stools were also a bit watery but still formed. I took a sample to the vet last week. Our vet is a "country vet" but he does have some reptile experience. He did decide to send the sample to a larger lab. The results came in yesterday but we will not find out the details until tomorrow. All they would say was that several "things" were found.

I'm sure I will be back posting tomorrow with several questions about his treatment...not that I do not trust the vet but...

Here is a picture taken today of Drako

Wow he sure is a nice looking dragon.. I hope his treatment goes smoothly for you guys. Good luck, and ask away if you have questions. It's always good to see what has worked in the past for others who dealt with similar parasite problems, and compare treatments just to double check all is well..
