Houdini

I just picked up a tree frog that's been waiting for me down at my local pet shop and named him Houdini. He's a cutie! I do have one question though, he was advertised as being a green tree frog, but he's this beautiful golden green color, and all of the green tree frogs I've seen are bright grass green. He looks like a green otherwise. Is he a green or is he a different kind? Thanks!

Maybe he's just stressed right now. Or maybe he is a different color. I have a Green Tree Frog that is brown. People say that they are only brown when stressed, sick, or something.. but that is not true. I've had mine for a year and he's always been brown. He turns different shades of brown, instead of green.

There is a variation in color with Greens, as in with most frogs. They can range in color from bright almost neon grass green, to deep forest green, and all in between.
