Is cypress mulch (ZooMed Forest Floor Bedding) okay for tree frogs?

Cypress mulch works but there are better options. Coconut husk fiber or a simple substrate like foam rubber or moist paper towels are the best in my opinion. I used cypress mulch exclusively with all of my amphibians for years before coconut husk fiber was availible and never had a problem but it is sharp, doesn't hold moisture as well as other substrates and has the potential to cause problems if a piece is swollowed by the frog. Good luck,

I wouldn't waste money on the zoo-med stuff, it's the same stuff they sell in big bags in the garden section of stores. But I agree that it doesn't hold water as well as coconut husk.
