thanx lady croc,,how high can he climb from water?????

thanx ladycroc im almost finished my enclosure just my basking spot left..i get him on saturday..i want to copy a set up i seen where the caiman can hide under the basking spot and still be in water so im curious how high can he climb from water to the slate im using...so basicly my basking spot will lean over the water pool...can he say get up 5 inches if the water is 12 inches deep and hes 4 ft???????? if anyone can help thank you..im almost done..lol..also was going to mess fence round enclosure ...can he climb it???????

i guess your talking about mesh...could you by any chance tell me how high he can climb from water to get to basking spot????

If I understand you correctly the difference from the water to the basking spot is 5 inches and the caiman is 4ft. No problem whatsoever, he will climb that without any hesitation. The only problem see is if the overhang doesn't allow him to gain a good foothold.

I once had an 8ft alligator scale a 5.5ft fence. He leveraged himself over. Needless to say I was abit taken back.
