Thanks again for running your C/A ratio on photos I have posted. I thought this might be of interest to others as well as you. Can you run your C/A ratio on the old baby photo (please?)
This photo is of Candy and Jenny- Gertie's first twins under my care at day one (on the right) and at 3 months. Posted next will be the recent photo I took and you measured a few weeks ago and calculated as falling into the probable male range, then posted next will be the two year old and newest twins (you measured the single in male range and the two neonates in the female range).
From gross viewing, neonates look like they would all measure as female due to the fat bellies and petite heads.
By two years old, my juvies seem to have lost enough baby tummy 'fat' or maybe their muscles have toned enough to assume the more tubular shape in males to make visual sexing more accurate- then as they reach maturity and the males start developing the more angular head, it gets even more accurate.
I am hoping to see a numerical trend...
Cheers, Jess b
