Hi all,
How is everyone?
Any one finding any Alligator Lizards yet?
I went looking at the river, and nary a one,
but I did find some of the biggest Side-Blotched Lizards I've ever seen, probably 4in. SVL.
Hope everyone is well.

Yours,
Phil

I was out looking for salamanders last Dec 25 & 26 in the S Calif. rain. I didn't find the particular salamanders I was interested in though the Newts were active in 1 canyon. I did catch an adult Alligator lizard. He was cold, wet and not very argumentative. I am in Las Vegas Nevada. Alligator Lizards are not native but apparently there is a breeding colony in the shrubs at one of the casinos which is interesting.

Hi,

I'm so excited!!! The alligator lizards are finally coming out. On the 21 of this month I captured four northern als, three male and one female.Three of them were northwesterns, and the other one was an intergrade between northwestern and shasta. Happy herp hunting!
