Fried Skink

skinkgirl Mar 24, 2004 06:47 PM

Hey I got this new bulb for my skink. It says on the package "for animal habitats" but it's 125 wats. would this creat to much heat for my skink? The bulb that I have now is actually ment more for light than heat but it works fine this one is actually made to generate heat so I dont know if it will fry my skink or not.

I have a little temperature gage on the side of his cage, dont have one for the actual room though. It gets up to about 90-95 degrees or sometimes in the high 80s in his cage and i leave the light i have now on for about 4 hours.
