little worried about my crested gecko

hi all
my little crested gecko raptor red is about um 6 months old and is about say 3 1/2 inches and i'm kinda worried hes not eating enough he has a pretty big tank about (20 gallon tall) and i feed him but the night i feed him he eats like 2-5 or 6 crickets and then he can't catch like all the crickets just get away from him and hes starting to get skinnyso i was thinking of removing him from his tank every time i feed him and put him in a feeding tank so i make sure he eats all the crickets i give him any one else do this?

Yep, i do this. I always seperate my crested into a rubbermaid container to feed him his crickets. He is used to it, and if you try this with yours it may take a while for him to get used to being put in something else to eat, so give him time. Good luck!

I would recommend getting a fecal done on him by your vet to make sure that there is no possibility of parasites that could be causing him to lose weight. I would also offer him t-rex crested gecko formula every other night mixed with a fruit flavored baby food. That way if he can't catch the crickets, he can eat the baby food.
