I have a breeding pair of geckos, a blizzard male and a female that I have had for a while now. I started them off on reptile carpetting to make sure their health was good and now for a while I have had them on sand (I have monitored them on the sand and have seen no sign of impaction, don't be fooled! I have heard of it happening and had it happen once from a mistake, please be careful). They began breeding very well and she lays approximately every month or maybe even twice a month. The odd thing is that now for the past month or so, I have been getting one egg at a time that is even a bit collapsed. Is my female possibly too young for breeding? She is around seven inches and the breeder that I had gotten them from at the expo in Pennsylvania (November 15-16 expo) said that she was around 6-9 months of age. Now.. because my geckos are both very healthy and actively feeding, I am not really worried about anything but the age. Is that the reason or is it just possibly a bad season? By the way, it is their first breeding season for both.
