I am trying to get interested in something other than my leopard geckos snakes and turtles... I just was looking around and saw the Uromastyx... These things look awesome!!!
I think I will research my a$$ off for aq few days to see whether its worth getting one.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not an impulsive buyer or anything, I have just been looking around for a new herp...

If anyone could say anything about their expieriences and how they love their Uromastyx then please post.

I have 9 uros and love them all. As was said in the other post, know who you are buying them from. Even though it might cost a little more up front, buying from a reputable breeder will be cheaper than vet bills for a fresh import. There are many sizes, colors and temperments to choose from, so you are starting in the right direction with your research. The Deer Fern Farms website is a great source of information, talking about everything you might need. Good luck in your research!

I always search for the best animal, even if its a few dollars more its worth it. I would never even thnk of getting an import. Thanks for the info and the site.

I love my uros. They are so fun to watch!!!! My Malis are really nice and friendly and they are my favoritesout of all the lizards that I own. I just recomend that when you go to purchase one that you ask to hold it. Itf it tries to whip you with it's tail or does a little belly dance move on to another. I picked two with amazing personalities and I wouldn't trade them for anything in the world. Plus they are alot easier to feed considering that they are vegetarians (although I do give them a super worm or two as a treat every couple of months).

I totally recomend the uros. If you look at my list of reptiles you will see that I own a whole lot of other kinds of lizards. But I do not recomend getting a Morrocan, get a Mali they have better personalities.
