I know how females can retain sperm, my question is this: Can they choose when to use it?
Also, I know I'm supposed to give about a week or so after a clutch is laid so the lizard can regain some vitamins and fat, but can I seperate the girl for maybe 2 days, intruduce the male, take him out after he's 'done', and continue to fatten her? People talk about how clutchs are laid every 2-3 weeks, and for me, thats hard to fathom. I got my closest interval today of 3˝ weeks, and I understand things go slow the first season, but do they really laid eggs in that frequency?
Thanks, I've been getting bored lately, and I've been thinking a lot about breeding situations, as my past posts may have implied. Just trying to figure out what the care sheets don't tell me.
