I had alot of fun building my cage... and it took some significant time but it works extremely well for him
My cage is about 24''deep, 30''wide, and 46'' tall... not overly sized, but big enough. I used particle board, and put plastic laminate on the sides of the cage. The back was made out of 1/4 pegboard, and the front a plexiglas frame door. On the bottom I used a router and cut a slot for a metal plate, and used a piece of fire-proof wood and fastened a cobra heat mat to it, and tile on top of that.
For lighting I put a fixture in the top (just the box, like for overheat lights) and ran a cable out the back in a PVC pipe. The I took a coffee can and cut out both sides, and fastened a piece of metal screen onto one side of the can, and fastened it to the top over the fixture.
I also took some wood and created a "rim" about 20'' off the bottom of the cage to put branches on.
I'll see if I can get a picture for you...
