Alrite I listened to your advice or that doctors and i have a big tub thats about the same height and half the length of my beardies cage(but hes a baby and he is in a 55 long so its ok) and I just place it in the glass tank an put the screen cover over its the normal stuff uvb and basking and stuff and its got paper towel. So what do you think?and I dont get the cardboard basking spot things, if someone would send me a pic thanx.

Sounds good to me.

I just use old soda boxes, like the kind you get w/ a 12 pack of cans. It's nice for them to still have a place to hide and climb on even though they're being quarantined. My beardie looked so pitiful when all his cage furniture was gone.

(The only reason there are rocks in the second pic is because he was shedding and needed something to scratch on.)

I stacked two boxes and now they are 6" from the 60 watt bulb is this a hazard?

I really don't know, I haven't had problems, but I don't have mine that close. I think it would have to get a lot hotter than the average beardie basking temp to set the cardboard on fire though...
