clawed geckos?

hi all.i was at a pet shop today and saw a pair of small geckos.they are about 4-5 inches long and are dark colored with yellowish bands on them.they were listed as clawed geckos adn ive never seen any before.they were about 15 bucks apiece.if any one might know something about them please tell me as im really trying to get some info together.thanks

I'm betting Holodactylus africanus. Do a web search and see if that isn't the species you're looking for.

nope.thats not it.it looked more like a arboreal type gecko.im taking my web cam up their next time and will try to get some pics.

My guess is Platypholis fasciata, do a search for them and see if that's it. I have heard they are an easy to keep species. They are from Central and Eastern Africa.

i believe that is the gecko.im not 100 percent shure but it looks like it.do you know about their care or possibly a place where i can find some.thanks all who have responded so far.
