Is peat moss ok to use for an "egg box". I'm expecting a female yellow rat to lay severl eggs and I this time I used peat moss as egg box substrate. Is that fine? Thanks.....

I've never tried it but Peat is acidic and I would think it might harm the eggs. I would look at vermiculite or green/sphagnum moss.
for my beardeds. This'll be my 4th year. Last year I used it in the incubator for one clutch, too(ran out of vermiculite). Didn't have any problems, except like 5 eggs(out of 23) didn't hatch. A couple of them looked bad right from the start, and it was her 3rd clutch of the year, so I'm not blaming the peat moss.
