When I still fead poultry I just cut the spurs off with a pair of dikes. Ive never seen anyone cut the entire foot off. Thats great.

Depending on where they may come from chickens/roosters often have a tremendous build-up of fecal matter on their feet. This may contain OODLES of potentially harmful bacteria. This may have something to do with it too.

Unless he was a stool pidgeon and the mob got to him first,.. who knows? lol

Hahah,nice, How big is he/she? And what can be the benefits of feeding a chicken every now and then? Im getting an African Rock Python pretty soon, is why I ask.
