Lump on my GTF

smitht Mar 25, 2004 09:31 AM

Last night I notice a pea sized lump on the lower back (hip area)of my gtf. I haven't had a chance to get her out & have a closer look but I did pop some crickets in with her & she ate them. She doesn't seem that bothered & is still active...... any ideas what it could be? Compaction? About to have a prolaps? Awfully big pooh brewing? I've had her for nearly 5 years and fortunately have never had a problem with her health... so I'm kinda worried.

I'm not sure. I've never seen bumps on frogs before.. is it like a swollen bump or like cancer bump? Maybe she sracthed herelf and it's just swelled? Sounds great that shes eating though, it must not bother her to much. She jumpy when you touch it?

It's not a rock hard lump.... more of a soft cyst. It's gone down a bit now but the frog doesn't seem itself. Just sitting there doing nothing. She's used to being picked up & handled regularly so she just sits on my hand as normal. I've touched the lump & she hasn't jumpedflinched. Very strange
