You should post on the JCP forum as well if you haven't already. When you do all your figuring, remember to add in $$ for feeding and housing the babies as well as the incubator. Be prepared if the babies dont all sell out right away. You can have a season with no babies at all or up to 2 dozen . Also remember that it is not always in the best intrest of the animal to breed every season. Some breeders feel it is better to let them rest occationally, either every other season or every 3rd season.
As for the sales, what you can count on is selling to a wholesaler at about $25 each if you have quantity. Individually owned pet stores may take your babies if they are cheap enough to make a good profit. Call around and see how much they sell for. You will have to sell them at half that price to the pet store. You can also sell them on line through various classified ads but remember, they usually cost money too.
If you have babies early in the season you are more likely to sell them. If you still have babies later in the year, once it starts to get cold outside, It is hard to sell them because of the shipping problems with cold weather. If you do sell over the net, be aware of shipping rules from different carriers and be prepared for those risks that come with shipping.
Good Luck
