According to a recent article in Reptiles, they are from a no-importation zone and aren't really in captivity at all. Seems kind of strange to me because the article was referring to Mexico and there are several other animals in captivity in the US that originated in Mexico.
At any rate, keeping them would probably be tough because they are so tiny, but I'd be willing to try!

these are very rare creatures and only eat ant larve that would be hard to make them eat
